Picture "seductive nature 1" (2023)
I try to create a subtle but visually appealing base at the beginning of each painting. In its accumulation and division of layers and formal relationships, the work not only documents the painting process, but also serves as a record of an expressive movement over time. Through the use of pigment and wood stain, the materiality of the paint becomes the subject, ranging from matte and velvety to transparent and translucent, resulting in a visceral and sometimes thickly impastoed surface. All my artworks are on durable, stretched and triple primed gallery quality cotton canvas and ready to hang. I include a certificate of authenticity detailing the materials and when the painting was completed. Fine, high-quality materials such as Lascau products and UV protective varnish to protect against sunlight are used.
