Peter Stahr
After studying art in Braunschweig, Peter Stahr worked in the fields of painting, media art, web design and as a teacher with various exhibitions in Germany.
Since 2021, he has worked exclusively as a freelance artist with a studio in Göttingen.
Stahr paints abstract landscapes from his feelings and memories. He lived by the sea for many years and ran various windsurfing schools in the Mediterranean in his youth. Hence his preference for abstract seascapes.
In his "Magic Landscapes" series of paintings, the viewer is invited on inner journeys of discovery that take him to personal (longing) places that awaken feelings and memories. His abstract landscapes often move between figuration and abstraction. In the "Neue Wege" series of paintings, he also expresses his own fears of the present and the future. These pictures can be thought-provoking and evoke various associations on an emotional level.
He likes to work in large Picture sizes with acrylic or acrylic mixed media on canvas. In his works, he mixes acrylic with various pigments, emulsion paints, pastes, earths and other materials. In addition to form and color, the material is added as a supporting medium. This results in multi-layered, detailed works with great depth.

With my pictures, I would like to invite you on personal journeys of discovery to places that arouse feelings and inspire reflection.
