The work "Einfach sein!" was painted with high-quality acrylic paints and putty on a canvas, dated and signed by the artist. It is an original work of art! Heike Schümann was inspired to create this work during a modeling session in her studio on the Baltic Sea. Due to the three-dimensionality of the model, the approach is experimental and dynamic, making the large black and white picture look very lively and abstract.

About Heike Schümann

Heike Schümann is a visual artist who specializes in the figurative depiction of women in an abstract style.
She is also inspired by her home in northern Germany. The different seas in their effervescent and calm ways and the fascination of nature always provide her with new ideas for her art. In her works, she combines clean lines with geometric shapes, integrating used sailcloths into her paintings to create a unique texture. Although the style of her sail paintings differs from figurative painting, her expressive and dynamic approach remains unmistakable. Heike Schümann has created a solid foundation for her painting. She learned the compositions and proportions of portrait painting in Hamburg. She attended the international educational institution in Steinbergkirche/Northern Germany for nude studies. She also studied abstract painting at the Kandern Art Academy in southern Germany. Over the years, Heike Schümann has developed her own style of painting, which combines dynamic and expressive forms. She places particular emphasis on the female body, emphasizing its individuality, self-confidence and strength. The artist uses high-quality acrylic paints in combination with markers, chalks, inks and charcoal on canvas. She integrates her own sketches, canvas and monotypes into her works to create tensions and contrasts. Her work has been shown in numerous exhibitions, galleries and art fairs, including NACHT DER MUSEEN and the art project MIXTUR 1 in Neumünster, at the art fair HAMBURG ZEIGT KUNST in Altona, HOLSTENART and at the GALERIA Casa del Arte in Palma de Mallorca in Spain
