Picture "coffee to go" (2011)
The work shows a discarded coffee cup in the foreground, lying in the desert near a settlement. The painting was inspired by the artist's regular visits to a coffee shop in Palm Springs and his thoughts about where these cups often end up. However, the idea was not implemented in a cautionary manner; instead, the coffee cup was placed in the desert landscape like a modern sculpture and elevated to the status of a work of art itself. Even thought-provoking or problematic issues are presented aesthetically by the artist in this artistic realization and can thus be conveyed. The picture is signed + dated on the back.
