Inspired by the nature surrounding him in Upper Bavaria and because the preservation of natural spaces is important to him, he created this work with abstracted natural elements. Free, irregular forms, which the viewer's eye can assemble into leaves and leaf shapes, swing through a white pictorial space as if hanging from branches. Colored points of light can then be seen in the individual elements, reminiscent of incident sunlight. The work is signed and dated on the back.

About Heinz Stoewer

In my early 40s, I ended my career as a lawyer + banker in favor of painting, which has now been the focus of my life for 25 years after training as an artist.
My painting varies between realistic depictions and abstraction, whereby the interplay of form and color, i.e. the painting itself, is just as central to my work as the messages behind it. Water reflections, nature-inspired themes and images of people are the focus of my series of works. My painting is inspired by the media, the flood of images on the Internet, the nature that surrounds us and personal experiences and encounters. It is always surprising to me when and where the pictures arise in my head that then find their way onto the canvas. With my work I want to inspire, make people curious and thoughtful, and touch them.
