Detailed description

Picture "Impermanence of beauty" (2020)

On a white background float abstracted petals, which are indicated by colored lines and colored areas. Through the colors used reveals that the flowers are no longer fresh, but they are already in the process of withering. Although the painterly representation is light and colorful, it creates its own, somewhat melancholic mood. In this work, the artist deals with the transience of beauty both in nature and in man. The work is signed and dated on the reverse.

About Heinz Stoewer

In my early 40s, I ended my career as a lawyer + banker in favor of painting, which has now been the focus of my life for 25 years after training as an artist.
My painting varies between realistic depictions and abstraction, whereby the interplay of form and color, i.e. the painting itself, is just as central to my work as the messages behind it. Water reflections, nature-inspired themes and images of people are the focus of my series of works. My painting is inspired by the media, the flood of images on the Internet, the nature that surrounds us and personal experiences and encounters. It is always surprising to me when and where the pictures arise in my head that then find their way onto the canvas. With my work I want to inspire, make people curious and thoughtful, and touch them.
