Picture "in tropical waters" (2023)
The inspiration for this painting goes back to an earlier trip by the artist to the Great barrier reef in Australia and his fascination with the colorful world of fish and coral. Although the trip was a long time ago, the pictures in his mind were still intense enough to bring this abstract version of his impressions from that time to the canvas. The sight of the crystal-clear water and the teeming tropical fish right on the beach is easy to comprehend when you look at the painting and keep discovering new colors and shapes with your eyes. It is almost like a quick glance into an aquarium. The work is signed and dated on the back.
