The play of colors on the waves in the early morning has inspired the artist to this work. Who is early in the morning on the beach or takes a boat trip, can experience the refractions of morning light on the sea; this very special mood of a new beginning, the beginning of the day. Heinz Stoewer has captured this mood here in an oil painting in abstracted form and made it palpable for the viewer. Pink and orange tones dance on the water, which shimmers in various shades of blue from ultramarine to turquoise. The work is dated and signed on the reverse.
