Detailed description

Picture "swinging and floating" (2021)

Free forms swing and flow in the colors of the rainbow on special painting paper suitable for oil painting. Brushstrokes and flowing forms are distributed across the picture surface in a harmonious composition. These forms are characteristic of Heinz Stoewer's works and appear in different variations in almost all of his paintings. Here they are highlighted and placed next to each other in isolation to form an abstract composition of bright colors on a white background. The work is signed and dated on the back.

About Heinz Stoewer

In my early 40s, I ended my career as a lawyer + banker in favor of painting, which has now been the focus of my life for 25 years after training as an artist.
My painting varies between realistic depictions and abstraction, whereby the interplay of form and color, i.e. the painting itself, is just as central to my work as the messages behind it. Water reflections, nature-inspired themes and images of people are the focus of my series of works. My painting is inspired by the media, the flood of images on the Internet, the nature that surrounds us and personal experiences and encounters. It is always surprising to me when and where the pictures arise in my head that then find their way onto the canvas. With my work I want to inspire, make people curious and thoughtful, and touch them.
