The title "You get exactly what you see" is intended to encourage you to go on a journey of discovery. What feelings do the colors used trigger in you? Do you see shapes or lines that look familiar to you or do you even see something representational? Abstract paintings like this one are full of secrets and surprises. Shades of yellow and red cover the entire canvas seemingly at random at first glance, yet they follow a well thought-out composition. The arrangement of the red areas, dots and lines in particular are deliberately placed exactly where the artist feels they should be in order to give the picture a structure.
