Picture "THE BEEKEEPER" (2025)

The half-length figure of a young man is facing the viewer. He is set against a lively, pink background and appears calm and thoughtful. Only individual parts of his body are drawn in detail - others are barely defined and are dominated by free areas of color and collages: Honeycombs of bees, pages from a garden encyclopedia, Chinese paper with sketches of bees as well as fragments of text. The relationship between man and nature and the play with different techniques on canvas board form the background of this semi-abstract work by Helene Fiegl. Color, form and media (acrylic, ink, graphite, wax crayon and collage) create a dense, harmonious coexistence. The dynamic lines and powerful layers of color emphasize the tension between the hidden and the visible and leave room for personal interpretation.

About Helene Fiegl

Helene Fiegl's artistic work focuses on the environment, people and, in particular, nude studies.
Reality is her inspiration, but not the motif. It is about the personal interpretation of what she sees - about the interplay of line, color, form and emotion. Although what is depicted is based on reality, this is partially dissolved and transferred into a more or less free color and artistic form concept. This shows that a lot of space is given to playing with the line. Helene Fiegl prefers to work with acrylic, ink, graphite and chalk. She likes to combine and superimpose different techniques. Using collages or text fragments, she creates new contexts and invites the viewer to take a closer look. She is not afraid to take experimental paths.
