Detailed description

Sculpture "At rest in itself" (2023)

In sich ruhend" is a sculpture that is intended to convey in a symbolic way the meaning of inner peace and unaffected by external circumstances. The figurative work shows a figure at rest, centered in itself and radiating a deep serenity. The posture of the figure expresses stability and inner strength. The deliberate design makes it clear that one can remain with oneself in the midst of the storm of life without being irritated by outside influences. This sculpture invites the viewer to pause and reflect on their own inner strength. The sculpture was modeled from stoneware mass, fired and after firing finished with cold patina . It stands on a metal stand.
