Sculpture "Head 1" (2019)
Head Modeled from stoneware paste, treated with engobes and patina after firing. Creation process of my sculptures I work the clay by following the property of the material. I consciously leave cracks, or tear it in the leatherhardZustand again. The earthy structures of the clay I let visibly flow into my works.thereby I notice again and again, how the clay works in itselfand what structures it brings forth, especially when using great heat. It is important to me that the work process remains visible.
