Sculpture "Head abstract III" (2022)
Head from the series reduced to the essentials. This head was modeled from stoneware mass and after firing was processed with cold paints and patina. The stand was treated with a rust patina. Creation process of my sculptures I work the clay by following the property of the material. I deliberately leave cracks, or tear it in the leather-hard state again. The earthy structures of the clay I let visibly flow into my works.thereby I notice again and again, how the clay works in itselfand what structures it brings forth, especially when using great heat. It is important to me that the work process remains visible.
