Sculpture "Intimate connection II" (2023)

The sculpture "Innige Verbundenheit II" is a beautiful depiction of an entwined couple who are bound together in deep affection. The ribbon entwining the two figures symbolizes their close bond and shows that they are inseparable. The sculpture exudes an atmosphere of love, trust and harmony and invites the viewer to reflect on the importance and beauty of human relationships. The sculpture stands on a black metal stand. The sculpture was finished with cold patina after firing and is signed. The dimensions include the wooden base.

About Ilona Schmidt

Since 2007 I have devoted myself to free artistic studies, with a focus on painting and sculpture.
My works have been presented in numerous exhibitions at home and abroad and have been nominated and awarded several times. I have been a member of the Professional Association for Fine Artists since 2013. In my paintings and sculptures I try to capture the complexity of the human being. By using different techniques and materials, I create works that appeal to the emotions and thoughts of the viewer and stimulate reflection. My artistic work is characterized by a deep engagement with people and their environment. I explore the relationships between the individual and society, between body and mind, between past and present. My aim is to use my art to build a bridge between the viewer and the subject matter depicted. I want to arouse emotions, raise questions and provide food for thought. Because for me, art is not only an expression of my own thoughts and feelings, but also a medium for making contact with other people and inspiring them.
