Detailed description

Sculpture "Moment III" (2024)

SUBTLE ASSEMBLAGES OF CHANCE Janina Lamberty's works are about the transience of the moment and the concentration on a very specific moment, such as in Japanese Zen archery. By consciously using chance as a creative principle, Janina Lamberty sees herself in the tradition of modern art, which is convinced of the equal value of the creative and the found, the rational and the unconscious.

About Janina Lamberty

Janina Lamberty (*1961, Ratibor, Poland) is a German conceptual artist, sculptor, graphic artist and designer.
She moved to Leverkusen with her family in 1971, where she discovered her passion for nature at an early age. From 1976 to 1978 she took art lessons with Peter Lorenz. She later trained in surveying, which influenced her later artistic work. After 12 years of professional activity, she devoted herself intensively to art and took lessons from 1989 to 1997 with Ernst Otto Köpke, whose mosaic and architecture-influenced works strongly inspired her. Since the 1990s, she has lived and worked in Düsseldorf and Barcelona.
