Picture "Botanical Garden" (2024)
This work is one in a series that I called "Botanical Garden". I get the inspiration for my paintings concretely from the surrounding nature, in combination with impressions from a pulsating city life. And that also applies to this work, which is a work that shows a great lushness. There is a lot going on in the picture in terms of form, but I use the colors to make it harmonize. For a number of years, I have worked exclusively with contrasts in order to discover and explore what lies beyond the figurative. I use this in my pictures to create harmony and develop an inner mood. The work is created in my Atelier, it requires calm, contemplation and time.
