Detailed description
Sculpture "Vortex" (2002)
The stone actually comes from a river in the Alps. The artist has selected it from many thousands of stones to create a small sculpture from it. It was several kilometers that the granite pebble traveled in the artist's backpack before it was worked by hand, that is, with a hammer and sculpting iron. As a form, as in some other sculptural works of the artist, the Möbius's loop was the model. It is always the connection between finiteness and infinity, symbolized by this infinite loop, which fascinates the artist. The granite is black - white and mounted on a block of stone. The dimensions are without this block, but it is supplied with. The surface is ground but not polished, which creates an interesting tactile texture. The artwork is weatherproof and can stand well outside.
