Picture "Snowdrop in Lavender on light Gray" (2025)
Inspired by nature, I work with plants and flowers. I sketch the shapes of the flowers from nature with ink and simplify them step by step to finally enlarge them in an exciting detail. By playing intuitively with the colors, I create completely new and fresh combinations. Here, the beautiful, delicate snowdrops are shown abstracted on a light gray background. In this series, I repeatedly vary the ochre-gold tone with the dark violet in its shades and the dark green tone. When the motif is finished after many sketches, I transfer the outlines freehand onto the canvas and then paint the areas layer by layer. To achieve very good color coverage and luminosity, this involves 3-4 layers. Acrylic on canvas, painted around the edges and covered with protective varnish. The picture can be hung on the stretcher frame immediately.
