Detailed description
Picture "Marilyn Monroe - Freely interpreted" (2025)
The artwork captures the iconic scene of Marilyn Monroe standing in her famous white dress, but interpreted in an expressionistic way. Nicole Leidenfrost has used bold and dynamic brushstrokes to depict the energy and movement of the moment. Marilyn's dress, normally simple and elegant, is stylized here, depicted in shades of white that spread out in waves. The contours of her body are only vaguely hinted at, in screaming bright colors that leave room for interpretation and capture the dynamism of the moment. The background of the picture is in darker tones, creating a strong contrast to the bright white of the dress. This enhances the dramatic effect and brings Marilyn even more to the fore. Acrylic and oil pastel
