Detailed description

Picture "Sail Boats XXXL 1" (2024)

The maritime diversity of colors, shapes and the complexity of nature by the sea - its power, delicacy, its rhythms, its phenomena... - is an important source of inspiration for my maritime paintings. Here is an abstract painting in an extreme format with an intense color spectrum, which concentrates on the three primary colors blue, yellow and red-orange and is complemented by turquoise, lilac and white tones. The motif shows sailboats sailing in the distance as the sun sets and is reflected on the water. Being underway with a feeling of freedom, becoming one with the wind, absorbing the fascination of nature and its forces, observing fish, coasts and waves... The painting is mounted on a 3.8 cm deep gallery stretcher frame and can be hung without an additional frame as the sides of the picture are also painted.

About Peter Nottrott

His courage and his sense for developments bring him - as well as his pictures - forward.
Instead of the adapted "one must" he decides for his very own way - that does good, stands out and is reflected in his environment. He is an artist, bon vivant, family man, walker, buffet lover, master strategist, traveler, expert in visuals and much more..... Peter Nottrott is a painter with great passion. His extreme creative power is an almost inexhaustible source of abstract color compositions. Color tones and forms develop under his brushstrokes again and again into positive and dynamic, often powerful works of art - with considerable inner stability and composure.
