The maritime diversity of colors, shapes and the complexity of nature by the sea - its power, delicacy, its rhythms, its phenomena... - is an important source of inspiration for my maritime paintings. Here is an abstract painting with a lively character, the sailing boats on the horizon in the reflecting sunlight form an arrangement with different abstractions. The strongest abstraction is in the warm colors of the clouds and the water, another aspect of abstraction is the lateral dissolution of the horizon line. The painting has painted side edges and is signed by Peter Nottrott on the front bottom right and dated with the year of creation.
