Detailed description
Picture "A grain of rice has more genes than a human being" (2021)
"An international team of researchers (Rice Genome Sequencing Project [IRGSP]) has almost completely decoded the rice genome. According to their data, the genome consists of around 400 million DNA building blocks (bases) with more than 37,500 genes. This means that rice has significantly more genes than humans (around 25,000)." A fact that makes you think - hence this picture.
