Picture "Low water" (2022)
People on the beach. It is low tide and the water behind the sandbank has warmed up in the sun so that the children can splash around devotedly for a long time. It is warm and even at the North Sea people wear swimwear now. The children have sun hats on against the strong sun. The dominant colors are light blue and ocher. Small splashes of green and red loosen up the palette. The artist stands with her easel on the beach and puts the motif directly on the spot out of the paint, with impasto brushstrokes with her oil paints in light and color.
