Detailed description

Picture "Blue Forest" (2024)

The picture "Blue Forest" is intended to evoke an enchanted forest, a place that is both mysterious and open. The vertical lines stand for tree trunks, dense and endless, while the bluish tones emphasize the depth and stillness of the forest. The light breaks through sporadically, indicated by contrasts that bring movement and change into play. The closer you get and look at the details, the more unsuspected color nuances and structures emerge, making the forest appear alive (see last pictures), It is not about depicting a real forest, but about imagining a space in which time and place seem to be suspended. The enchanted forest is intended to convey a sense of calm and concealment and allow the freedom to imagine it for oneself. A word I love very much in German is "verweilen" - this picture is intended to invite you to linger.
