Detailed description
Picture "Aspalt Altona II" (2022)
Ulla Kutter tells a story about modern everyday life: a railroad bridge, a tunnel view, a lot of graffiti, some cars and 3 cyclists. The weather is bad. The question that the painter asks herself is that of the design of the city by the people: Who is shaping it? Are the people who live in the district to be found again? Which actors are there? What colors surround us every day? The result is a clear statement for sprayed art in everyday life. This image opens the eyes of the viewer to undiscovered optical adventures in the immediate environment in the big city. Specifically, this is the Hamburg district of Altona, but the image could have been created in many other cities. "I F A" to read in the middle of the bridge means: "I'm from Altona".
