Picture "Mainufer" (2022)
The picture shows a scene on the banks of the Main in Frankfurt. The painter was on a very warm summer day there and very taken by the beautiful large trees and the relaxed atmosphere. The meadow is summer dry and no longer green at all. People are looking for the shade and resting or talking. In the background Ulla Kutter has painted one of the typical river passenger ships. The main protagonist of the picture is the tree, whose branches reach once across the entire width of the picture. The tree trunk is painted in two layers of paint, one of them a glaze, which gives the tree trunk different colors. The man leaning against the tree is obviously relaxed and content. It is a picture to relax, a picture of the justified break in the afternoon.
