Kirsten Treis
Scenes of nature and landscape are created under my brushes, capturing the beauty of a fleeting moment.
For many years, I show my paintings mainly in the Rhineland, sometimes as a solo exhibition, sometimes with selected partners. My favorite places to exhibit are enchanted gardens, where art and nature complement each other to form a harmonious whole.
On ArtSolitaire I currently present images from the series "Green Oasis" and other floral motifs - large-format flowers, garden bouquets, bumblebees and bees.
I use acrylic paints and appreciate the lightness, watercolor that these colors allow. The paint is applied in several, partly glazing layers. It is important to me to let the airy of the first underpainting in places also shine through in the finished picture.
My motifs I hold on forays through gardens and surroundings with a rather scientific view first with the camera. Inspired by these photographs, my works are created later in the studio, where I play freely with colors and shapes in the implementation. So often arise just from rather unspectacular shots the more exciting images
I live with my family in the Rhineland and spend a lot of time in our colorful and wild garden in the middle of the city.
3% from a picture sale I donate to conservation projects.

Moments of nature are the beginning of my pictures.
