Asymmetrical shapes in various shades of red and blue are set against an iridescent light green background. The arrangement of these shapes creates recognizable lines and islands of colour catch the viewer's eye. The result is a mixture of gentle movement and calm that invites the viewer to take a closer look at this abstract composition. The asymmetrical forms, which are characteristic of the artist's entire oeuvre, are clearly noticeable. The painting was inspired by memories of walks in nature.

About Heinz Stoewer

In my early 40s, I ended my career as a lawyer and banker in favor of painting, which has been the center of my life ever since.
I live in Bad Tölz and Palm Springs, California. My painting varies between real images and abstraction, where the interplay of form and color, that is, the painting itself is as much at the center of my work as the message. Water reflections, nature-inspired themes and images of people, especially male bodies or sections of them, are focal points in my work series. The influence of the flood of images on the Internet on us and our self-perception is questioned and the equality of alternative lifestyles is important to me. I am inspired by various media, my own experience and everything that happens around me.
