Sculpture "Figurine XI" (2023)
Figurine No. XI work from my series "Bodies and Fragments" sculpture made of stoneware clay, fired and processed with cold colors and pigments. The Figurine No. XI is the first figure of this series in 2023. process of creation of my sculptures I work the clay by following the property of the material. I consciously leave cracks, or tear it in the leather-hard state again. The earthy structures of the clay I let visibly flow into my works.thereby I notice again and again, how the clay works in itselfand what structures it brings forth, especially when using great heat. It is important to me that the working process remains visible. The dimensions given are overall dimensions measured with the wooden base.
