Picture "Zarah (Leander) - controversial" (2022)
Zarah Leander conquered the hearts of cinema audiences in the thirties and forties of the last century. She thrilled her fans with songs like "Can love be a sin? The Swedish singer with the deep voice was on the one hand adored and at the same time reviled as a Nazi idol. The mixed media work "Zarah - controversial" represents this polarizing life symbolically. In this work I used acrylic paint, graphite, oil pastels and plastic masses. On the hand of Zarah Leander notes of one of her songs are incorporated. The picture has structure through the plastic masses used and the tissue paper.
