Picture "Just like old times...." (2023)

This still life is unusual for me. My pictures are usually very colorful, this one is much more restrained. Autumn colors prevail and spread a soothing mood. Four rust red and brown, orange, pink, wine red, warm brown shades, a little yellow and as a very nice contrast turquoise, petrol at the base where the stylized flowers are. A convincing color composition that radiates calm . The background has provoked the title, because it is like an old wallpaper. Here, too, magnificent tones, created by many overpaintings in very thin layers. The table top is mocha brown and on it lie a few fallen flowers and petals.
