You know them, those reed stems as you often see them in ditches and ponds in autumn and winter. They are dying along with branches and leaves. I saw the effect of light, the reflection, the refraction of the light, the vibration in the water. I found that very intriguing, I had to do something with it. I always look for abstraction in my subjects. so you can see this painting both figurative and abstract. It is ready to hang.
