Picture "Reflection 20" (2023)

First quality, highly pigmented acrylic paints, on 4 cm deep canvas. Abstract, Expressionist, Figuarative style. Free and spontaneos. I started from natural elements, such as branches, leaves, tree trunks. The whole interplay of colors and shapes intrigues me: the refraction of the light. I am not imitating nature, but making art out of essential reality. First of all, I want to catch emotions. The sides are painted through, so that it can also be hung without a frame. The painting is ready to hang immediately.

About Ella Joosten

After having been schooled in miscellaneous art studies, Ella Joosten has worked as a professional visual artist since 1989.
In the course of the years she has grown into a significant, multifaceted artist. Her work has shown at various exhibitions all over the globe and were reproduced in several art books, catalogues and art magazines. Local municipalities, companies, private institutions and individual collectors purchase her work. Intreagued by the interplay of color and shapes, my figurative and abstract works are created in themed series. I have explored subjects which include nature, flowers, still lifes, geishas, fish, etc.
