Picture "The wheat fields in the home" (2023)
In this work, memories from my childhood were painted on the great concept of "home and spring". In the picture you can see the village of Kalwosh, which is located in the north of Iraq. The green veil that envelops the village testifies to spring, a special season in northern Iraq. In the summer it is very dry here and only the orchards wear the color green. When I was a child, I used to visit this place often and I was always in the mountains and valleys for hiking or just for a short walk. Especially in spring, I enjoyed lying in the meadows, feeling the cool grass, smelling the scent of the grass and forgetting everything around me. It is these memories, captured in colors, that gave birth to the work. I can still feel these strong moments as if it was only yesterday.
