Picture "foliage" (2020)
Inspired by the nature surrounding him in Upper Bavaria and because the preservation of natural spaces is important to him, the artist has created this work with abstracted natural elements. Free, swinging forms, which the viewer's eye can assemble into leaves and leaf shapes, swing through a white pictorial space as if hanging from branches. Colored points of light then appear in the individual elements, bringing the painterly treatment of the painting into focus. The work is signed and dated on the reverse.
