Detailed description

The play of colors on the waves in the early morning inspired the artist to create this work. If you are out and about on the beach early in the morning or take a boat trip, you can experience the refraction of the morning light on the sea; this very special mood of a new beginning, of the dawning day. Heinz Stoewer has captured this mood here in an oil painting in abstract form and made it palpable for the viewer. Shades of pink and orange dance on the water, which shimmers in various shades of blue from ultramarine to turquoise. The painting was shown in the exhibition "It takes two to tango" at the Kunstturm Wolfratshausen in 2024. It is dated and signed on the back.

About Heinz Stoewer

In my early 40s, I ended my career as a lawyer + banker in favor of painting, which has now been the focus of my life for 25 years after training as an artist.
My painting varies between realistic depictions and abstraction, whereby the interplay of form and color, i.e. the painting itself, is just as central to my work as the messages behind it. Water reflections, nature-inspired themes and images of people are the focus of my series of works. My painting is inspired by the media, the flood of images on the Internet, the nature that surrounds us and personal experiences and encounters. It is always surprising to me when and where the pictures arise in my head that then find their way onto the canvas. With my work I want to inspire, make people curious and thoughtful, and touch them.
