Detailed description

Picture "Shore still" (2023)

The oil painting "Uferstill" transports the viewer into a dreamy world full of tranquillity and magic. The semi-abstract depiction shows a view of the shore of a lake. The work is painted in soft pastel tones, the dominant colors are a calming green, light blue and delicate white. In the foreground of the picture, a world of plants spreads out along the water's edge. The plants on the shore blur into a semi-abstract representation that lends the painting a mystical note. Linear light reflections direct the eye across the surface of the water into the expanse of the background, where the sky is reflected in soft blue tones on the surface of the water. The mood of the painting is pervaded by a quiet calm that transports the viewer into a meditative atmosphere.

About Judith Riemer

Judith Riemer is a German artist from the district of Hildesheim.
She has been presenting her works in galleries, museums and at art fairs around the world since 2017. Previous highlights include exhibitions in New York and Dubai. Her art has already won several awards and been published in international magazines and art books. Her works can be found in private collections in Germany, Italy and Austria. Judith Riemer's works are characterized by an imaginative and mysterious aesthetic. They invite the viewer to immerse themselves in a multi-layered universe in which time and space remain deliberately vague. Familiar elements such as leaves, people and animals are given a new interpretation in order to reflect the true nature of things. The artist concentrates on the attentive and sensitive observation of the hidden.
