Picture "592-FO" (2023)
In this work, I have created an interplay of abstract geometry and perspective using acrylic. I was inspired by night-time aerial photographs of New York City - gentle, melancholy tranquillity in the otherwise pulsating heart of a metropolis. From a bird's eye view, the urban canyons are transformed into interwoven cubist geometries. The stripes emphasize the three-dimensional impression. The result is a clearly formatted and very dynamic abstract work full of tension and joie de vivre. The work generates an irresistible energy that can be felt in every room.
