Picture "March mug" (2024)
I painted this watercolor in the garden on an overcast, grey February day. I was fascinated by the luminosity of the white March cups with their green foliage against the warm, strong brown tones of the dry stalks from the previous year. In the background, the branches and tree trunks are reflected in the pond. A spring painting in which I have captured the mood of the garden with expressionist brushstrokes. The watercolors unfold a special luminosity on the canvas. The painting is protected with a high-quality varnish from Lascaux. A steel cable provides a suspension. My signature is on the front.
