Picture "Shetland / West Mill Loch" (2008)
This picture was taken on the Shetland Islands at a lake in July. The sky is blue-gray interspersed with light white clouds. A bright delicate yellow gives a hint of the sun. Gentle ranges of hills in shades of green surround the lake. Remains of a dry stone wall can be seen in the foreground. Ute Meyer has wandered to this place with easel and her painting things over a long period of time and has painted this picture there. The image carrier is a stretcher frame with self-covered and triple primed linen. A steel cable serves as a suspension. The edges are painted. The picture can be hung without framing. The signature is in front.
