The painter was inspired in this picture by a morning walk across the fields In early summer. The red poppy shines between the green and yellow-brownish grasses. The sky shows a delicate blue and the morning light shimmers between the trees to which the dirt road leads. The picture support is a self-covered canvas primed four times, which is equipped with a steel cable as a suspension. The edges are painted. The picture can be hung without framing.
