Picture "Next Stop - Horizon" (2023)

This picture shows five gray geese flying with grace over the picturesque mudflats. Below, the foreshore stretches out in which patches of Hallig's lilac bloom in soft shades of purple and violet. Far behind in light fog a Hallig appears. On the distant horizon, another group of geese forms a clear V formation, a symbol of the community and natural navigational ability of these birds. The interplay of near and far, conveys the feeling of boundless freedom. The painting is a representation of the journey these birds take each year. The painting is signed on the front and back. On the back it is also dated.
