Picture "591-GK" (2023)
In vibrant and bold colors, rhombic surfaces act to create a precisely geometric work. The clear lines and minimalist aesthetics reflect a passionate order that also provides an emotional impulse for individual interpretations. The squares and rhombuses play with Op Art and give the impression of architectural forms. On closer inspection, however, the spatial perspective and shadows prove to be only apparent. Perhaps precisely because of this, the work fills the room with pure energy and invites the viewer to pause and reflect. In order to achieve particularly monochrome surfaces with sharp edges, I have used a very fine-threaded canvas here.
